2017 isn’t just a thought anymore, it’s here. Like every new year’s resolution- people are always constantly finding new things to improve upon as the new year starts. For many people physical health and wealth are the biggest new years resolutions. If you haven’t already noticed, I’m pretty obsessed about basketball. I’ve always had a love for the game. What better way to show my love for the game, than to make it a point to play more during the new year?
Becoming a better basketball player has always been on my mind, but it does take a lot of time and effort to become the best you can. There are so many different components of a basketball players game that must be addressed and perfected. Every time I step on the basketball court it’s always a pleasure and something I look forward to everyday. Like most people, I have a regular day job working 9 to 5; so when I have the time during the end of the day to release tension and shoot some hoops it’s always a plus.
Anyone that is a big basketball player will tell you how important physical fitness is to becoming the best player you possibly can. Whether you know it or not, having the cardio vascular training to become a better player during full speed pick up games is crucial. The holiday season is known to be a big season for eating and stuffing your face with too much food. In order to burn off the unwanted calories accumulated over the holiday season, running up mountains and hills is the best idea.
Like many other sports, fitness is a big part of being the best athlete you can possibly be. Without the right guidance and advice about what to do in the gym, how can any basketball player have the right plan and strategy to be the best? The answer is they can’t. This year my big new years resolution is to become the best basketball player I could become by playing as much as possible. I highly recommend you find a similar sport to play and burn off some extra calories while having some fun time.
